Co-Founder and Owner

CHRISTOPHER (CHRIS) STRITZEL

Christopher (Chris) Stritzel is a co-founder and owner of the Hugo-Stritzel Company.

Born into a typical middle-class family, Chris is living proof of the American Dream. From being raised to respect the value of the dollar, to falling on hard financial times, to co-founding the first Gen-Z real estate development firm in the entire United States, Chris exemplifies the "never give up, never back down" attitude that ha defined America’s business leaders for decades.

He's in charge of pursuing new investment deals, engaging with neighborhoods and city officials, and working with architects/partner developers to create a product worth building.

Chris was a resident of St. Louis for most of his life. He attended elementary school in South St. Louis City and High School in Central St. Louis County before leaving town in 2022 to complete college in Kansas City. He now calls Kansas City home.

In St. Louis, Chris was active through the CityScene STL blog. He has been featured in the Post-Dispatch, KMOX, St. Louis Business Journal and St. Louis Public Radio for a number of things ranging from a 2018 effort to preserve East St. Louis's Spivey Building to being interviewed about what to look forward to in terms of St. Louis development in 2019 to a proposed multi-family development in the DeBaliviere Place neighborhood.

In Kansas City, Chris has been featured in the Kansas City Star and Kansas City Business Journal. He’s in the process of becoming more engaged with a series of entities, including the Downtown Neighborhood Association (of which Chris is a resident of).
